Many people do not like and never use plastic tableware, they believe it is not hygienic and it is also ugly. If they have small children or toddlers among their children you can be sure that none of their porcelain tableware sets are complete. Children, all children are accident prone. Plastic has evolved through the years to become a very useful element in the house because of its resistance and durability. Today plastic tableware does not look like plastic like in the old days when you could see it from a distance.

Today they are dish washer safe; they will handle food at any temperature without bending or becoming deformed. They are strong and especially child resistant. Families with toddlers and small children now have two sets of tableware, the one they use daily when only the family is present and the one they feed their guests with. It is a working arrangement which saves money and saves the mother a lot of heartache.

The best part is that you will start with an eight service set and finish with an eight service set. There will be no need to buy an extra set because the original one is missing five or four pieces which the kids broke.

There are three favorite materials available for you to choose from. The first is polycarbonate plastic, which is indestructible even in the hands of a naughty toddler or child. Melamine plastic is made out of a resin combined with fibers; it is also extremely resistant but a bit heavier. Last but not least we have acrylic tableware; this is used mostly for larger items like salad bowls, water pitchers and the like but complete plate sets are also made out of it. This may be the least resistant of the three materials but it won’t break easily either. Their price range is similar and the highest is the acrylic, the lowest is the polycarbonate.
 
Whichever plastic tableware you decide to buy make sure you visit more than one online store before going out to the local store to buy it. Usually you will find the same sets that are sold at your local store online for a very much lower price. Delivery does not take long either, usually a couple of days, one week at the most. Be sure to buy the product from a distributor that has an office or warehouse in the country where you live, this will assure you that any complaints you have will be heard and taken care of. Foreign companies, especially if they are very far from you tend to take their time answering complaints so, stay close to home.
